La scoperta

The discovery of the site Iachinu Filì is due to the reporting of Giuseppe la Rocca; a passionate of the place who, during the archaeological researches of the Kalat project, brang the project's staff to the site.

The prospections allowed then to individualize the whole archaeological area, as well as the worth of an agricultural area used since Prehistory, which testimonies are the archaeological materials found on surface.

The datation of those prehistorical finds has been confirmed by the risults of a stratigraphic excavation, outcoming of the cleaning and valorisation activities on the site. The excavation enabled to date the tombs «a grotticella» of the necropoli from the Castellucian phase, of the antic Bronze Age.
