Valorization of the territory

The development glimpsed in tourism is currently stimulating the realization, reorganization and creation of parks, reserves, museums and archaeological areas. In order to obtain the best results the local administrations will have to get new territorial planing tools in which, compared to the past, cultural and environmental heritage should be better protected and valued so as to be able to constitute a tourism offer and increase the employment opportunities. The pursuit of a rural development btained through the design of routes and rural tourism proposals, widespread and relational, could save from damage and looting at least the significant resources of the territory.

Mapping and cataloging of local goods could then be the first step in a planning process of tourism development able to save what can be saved, through different degrees of protection depending on the scientific and touristic importance of the sites, to safeguard at least the percentage of territory that really counts, starting its recovery mabe thanks to youth involvement through local and international voluntary service, useful tourism initiatives such as school camps (field activity plus training), research camps (participation to field research), working camps (holiday in exchange of work).

The sketch shows how, through a process of research, identification, scheduling, and then redesign of the archaeological sites, continued or not by the creation of temporary and / or permanent exhibitions, revitalized by an animation activity, it's possible to give rebirth to the territory's ressources.
