EVS
Presentation
The European Voluntary Service (EVS) is an initiative of the European Commission, Directorate-General for Education and Culture, intended to all young people from 18 to 30 years old. It's an occasion to live from 2 to 12 months abroad, to know better another country, another culture and another language, participating at the same time to the realization of a volunteer project useful to the society. The European Voluntary Service is totally free for the volunteers: trip, board and loging are payed by the EU and the volunteers receive a “pocket money” every month, in addition to a brief initial language training. Participating to The European Voluntary Service, the young european volunteers collaborate to the development of local initiatives in various fields and hugely increase their store of personal experience.
