The cultural and artistic world of sicilian prehistory is so rich, so rare and precious, that it has few comparisons in the world, as it presents dozens of paintings and engravings that tell the story of what happened during millenia in Sicilia. Non-specialists have difficulties to access to the "mysteries" of the past, that's why they need to see in concrete terms the results of the archaeological research. The existing texts about art put the emphasis on paintings and engravings, but they almost never illustrate in details the environments and the products of men's work. Therefore the presentation of this "mysterious" world always remains insufficient and unsatisfactory.

The didactic laboratory offers the possibility to live again Prehistory, to know the most remote story of Sicily, to understand the engravings and rock-drawings as well as the world of which they are the expression, in a succession of visions, practical activities and guided research stimulated by the center's operators.

In the experimental laboratory are also repeated the gestures of the past and each participant can move for an hour, a day, a week in prehistory, so as to discover its art. All of this will enable an intelligent use of environmental, archaeological and paleoiconographic heritage, essential to make the user immerse in the fascinating world of Prehistory, rich of paleoiconographic documents, symbols and figures, and having a wonderful journey into the past.
