Is located in the oldest and higest part of the city. This castle can explain how important was Naro in the past. But the origen of the building belongs to The arabian period, remainding some parts of this period under the actual castle (photo4), construction of the chiaramonte family.

     The plan is rectangular with a square inside (photo 2), and out we can find two kinds of towers, cilindric and rectangulars (photo3) and the entrance (photo 1) with an original disposition of acute angle.

    Inside the castle the are the stairs with bring you till the saloon of the tower, is the room of the prince (photo 5), inside this room we find another little room used by the prince to have relations with the ladies of the castle (photo 8), (photo 7).

     During the XIX century the castle will be used as a prision, the are some graffities in the wall inside the castle written by the prisioners, agains the castle and the city of naro (photo 6).
